About Pokémon Copper

Background

Pokémon Copper is a fan-made Pokémon game created using Pokémon Essentials v21.1. The game takes place in the Azori Region, a region inspired by the U.S. state of Arizona.

While the Azori Region uses the familiar route structure of traditional Pokémon games, it introduces an open world style progression system allowing the player to explore the region in whatever order they want after completing the first gym.

Additionally, trainers and wild Pokémon will scale in difficulty as the player progresses.

Pokémon

The Azori Region features 113 brand-new Pokémon, 10 regional variants, 10 new Mega Evolutions for returning Pokémon, and 12 Mega Evolutions for new Azori Pokémon.

The game also includes 47 new moves, some of which are exclusive to the new Pokémon, along with 10 new abilities.

The Azori Pokédex contains a total of 500 Pokémon, combining both new and returning species. There are also rewards for completing the Pokédex, so there is plenty of reason to catch as many Pokémon as possible.

The Story

Pokémon Copper features a full Pokémon-style story. The player begins in their hometown of Terah Town, receives their starter Pokémon from Professor Verde, meets their rival, Ewan, and then sets out on a journey to collect all 8 gym badges.

Along the way, the player must also deal with a criminal organization known as Team Eclipse. After earning all 8 gym badges, the player enters the Horizon Cup tournament, where they compete alongside 7 other trainers for the right to challenge the Elite 4 and Champion.

The game also includes a few small post-game events surround 2 new mythical Pokémon, as well as rematches against all of the gym leaders, rivals, Elite 4, Champion, plus a few extra secret bosses. Additionally, all Pokémon not found in the Azori Pokédex can be found in the recently opened Azori Terrarium.
